few words
but listen
to their voices
their words,
the cries for liberation,
humanity,
silenced,
ignored, chastised
by the rich and powerful,
by western elites [read: white]
in bed
with racial capitalism,
with occupation, colonialism,
with genocide
for they want to quiet us,
exhaust us,
run us down,
keep us busy with survival,
and yet,
we will not yield,
we hold eachother up,
give eachother words,
feed each others’ souls
hearts
minds
bodies
I am unmoved
by my
words,
the attempt to form,
both by my hand
and on my lips,
words, words
bland, void, empty,
alone, when hidden,
singular,
now, I am tired, and
and
I am digging in,
down deep,
into us, now
I am finding sustenance,
together.
I am imagining it is possible,
it is possible,
it is possible.
I am continuing,
We are continuing.
Ceasefire now
Ceasefire now
Ceasefire now
End the occupation
